My name is Djimmitry Graham, and I graduated with a Computer Science degree from FAU. I went into Computer Science not because of coding, but because I really wanted to create something new. And at the time, it seemed the easiest way to do that was to think it up from scratch.
We’re used to algorithms giving us playlists to dig through song by song, as there aren’t many other ways to find something new.
Digging through a 25-song playlist without at least being rewarded with one new song barely ever seems worth the effort.
The idea of this chore alone discourages people to even try, putting a stop to new song discoveries, potential music streams, and artists being discovered.
There is muck filling the music industry pipeline, caused by the failure of a rewarding music discovery system.
Allow people to flow naturally through Rooms and communities and watch as random human social interactions become Mufl’s algorithm.
